So Excited!

WooooHooooo! Last night I got a call from our local paper, Feather River News, telling me that I was a finalist in their recipe contest. I had submitted 4 recipe's, and 2 of them were picked. You could submit one recipe for each category, and my main dish and my comfort food recipe's were chosen!

So now I have to make them and take them to the paper on May 14th for a taste test. First prize is $100.00. My main dish recipe is my Mom's, and if it wins I promised her that she and I will go out to lunch, a fancy lunch, alone! If my comfort food recipe wins, I'll probably still take her to lunch. And of course any left over $$ will go in the yarn fund :-) Anyone want me to post the recipe's?

Have you seen this? I thank I may make some of these for baby gifts. How cute are they!!

Congratulations on your recipes! Good luck! Please post them and I'll make my boyfriend prepare them for me. =0) I would do it but I'm not able to at the moment so he has to cook for me. And I have to say I don't mind!
That bunny is so cute isn't it?! I may make a couple next easter.

That is awesome, Jenn! And, yes, you should post the recipes. Hope you win. Before you head over to Jimmy Beans, though, look up the number and give them a call... my son and daughter couldn't find them last week, although they drove up and down Donner Pass Rd. looking. There is also Three Dog Knits in Tahoe City. Have fun!

Congrats on winning! Yea for you! I could never win anything like that (cooking-wise, that is). And I hear you on the sick kids getting your baby sick -- the exact same thing happened to me when my daughter was 3 mos old and she was sick for a month!! Take care, Jenn! Congratulations on the recipes! Please post them, it's always good to try something new; they must be REALLY good!

Bulky yarn: hat. Can't beat a nice, warm, cheerily-bright hat!

I'm just catching up with blogs, and I'm so glad your little guy is home and doing well. What a scary thing!
